Team Staff Profile - Brian Gallini

Coach Brian Gallini began his hockey career in Northern Virginia, where he played for Northern Virginia in the Capital Beltway Hockey League. Following his high school graduation in 1995, Coach Gallini continued his hockey career at the College of the Holy Cross.
After graduating from Holy Cross in 1999, Coach Gallini received his law degree from the University of Michigan in 2002. He returned home in 2003 to coach for Northern Virginia, where for the next two seasons he helped lead NoVa’s high school travel team to an overall record of 53-16-7. Following a move to Michigan that next season, Coach Gallini enjoyed similar success, leading his Traverse City high school team to the league championship game and the semi-finals of the state district tournament.
Coach Gallini joined the college coaching ranks in the fall of 2006 when he became the Head Coach for the University of Pennsylvania Men’s Hockey Team. From 2006-08, Coach Gallini authored the team’s first playbook, redesigned the team’s jerseys, revamped the team website, raised sufficient funds to remodel the locker room, began a community service program, implemented a dry-land conditioning program, initiated a “stay and play” program for prospective players, and began radio broadcasts for all home games.
Coach Gallini is a certified Level V coach with USA Hockey entering his fourth season with the Razorbacks. In three seasons with the team, he has amassed a 74-21-1 record, two SECHC titles, two top ten South Region finishes, and a trip to Nationals.
Off the ice, Coach Gallini works as a law professor at the University of Arkansas-Fayetteville School of Law. He lives in Fayetteville with his wife, Beth.
