Marc Buccellato begins his first season as Head Strength and Conditioning Coach of Rutgers Hockey.He is a recent Rutgers University graduate earning a degree in Exercise Science and Sports Studies. During his tenure at Rutgers he co-captained the Ice Knights for the 2012-2013 season.
Buccellato is a member of the NSCA (National Strength and Conditioning Association) as well as holding certifications in Poliquin training and CrossFit. Buccellato directs all aspects of the hockey team’s in-season and off-season workouts focusing on strength, power, speed, and injury prevention. He designs specific programs to enhance each players skills and maximize their performance on the ice.
Prior to working with Rutgers Hockey, Buccellato attended two top mentorship programs. One under Mike Boyle of Mike Boyle Strength and Conditioning (MBSC) in Boston MA and the other at Athletes Performance Institute (API) in Phoenix AZ. There he increased his knowledge on training athletes and helping them progress towards their goals.
