Michael Sadjadi currently attends the University of Akron pursing a degree in Economics, while also mentoring young athletes from all over the world to perform at their best. Michael grew up playing AAA hockey at prestigious Shattuck St. Mary’s playing with players such as Sydney Crosby, Jack Johnson, and Jonathan Toews. After Shattuck he went on to play for the Chatham Maroons (Western Ontario Hockey League), where he was noted for lowest combined GAA in the league. The next season Mike played for the Portage Terriers (Manitoba Junior Hockey League). After Junior Hockey Michael moved on to the professional level to play for the Fayetteville FireAntz of the Southern Professional Hockey League; however, he was sidelined with a career ending hand injury. Since then, Sadjadi has been coaching at the University of Akron as an assistant coach before being named the head coach in the fall of 2011. Sadjadi has high ambitions for Akron’s program and hopes to move up the coaching ranks in the near future.
