LINDENWOOD UNDEFEATED AND STILL #1
UNION LAKE, MI - The defending ACHA Men's Division 1 National Champions, Lindenwood University (16-0-0), received all 40 first-place votes to top the polls in Ranking #3. Holding steady in the #2 spot was Illinois, while undefeated Liberty (12-0-0), took sole possession of the #3 spot from Ohio, which dropped a spot to #4. #5 Iowa State and #6 Penn State remained in the same spots from the previous ranking.
Only 9 of the 25 teams stayed in the same position from Ranking #2.
#15 Kent State was the big gainer, jumping up 4 spots from Ranking #2, while Rhode Island moved up 3 spots to come in at #7. #14 Oakland and #20 Western Michigan each bumped up two spots from Ranking #2.
The fourth ranking of the regular season will be released on Friday, November 20.
The 2010 ACHA Men's Division 1 National Championships will be hosted by Robert Morris University Illinois and will take place March 6-10, 2010 at The Edge in Bensenville, IL. Sixteen teams will qualify for the tournament.
