Jeff Neitenbach Named Head Coach at Colorado2014-06-06
PLAYED PROFESSIONALLY IN THE CENTRAL HOCKEY LEAGUE
Jeff Neitenbach has been hired as the head ice hockey coach for the University of Colorado Hockey team. Jeff is a former University of Colorado Men’s Ice Hockey player, went on to be an assistant coach with the Boulder Bison Jr. A program, and recently played professional hockey for the Denver Cutthroats in the Central Hockey League. Jeff has a well-rounded hockey background and will bring stability to the University of Colorado Men’s Ice Hockey program.
Joining the coaching staff will be his brother Andrew Neitenbach, also a former Buffalo. During his time with the University of Colorado hockey team, Andrew was selected to the ACHA Men’s Division 2 1st Team All-West Region his senior year and the ACHA Men’s Division 2 2nd Team All-West Region his junior year. After his senior season he finished the year with the Wichita Thunder of the Central Hockey League for their playoff run.
Also joining Jeff on the staff will be Nathan Davis, who played his college hockey at NCAA Men’s Division I Miami (OH) University, and played World Juniors for Team USA. Nathan played in the Chicago Blackhawks farm system before attending Law School at the University of Colorado.
Jeff currently lives just outside of Boulder, CO with his wife Lindsay and daughter Eva.
