Weekly Round-up

A recap from around the nation.

We here at the ACHA hope that all of our members, their teams, and their families had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday!

This weekly round up is coming a bit later because of the holiday and there were two games played on Monday and Tuesday evening.

We will start there, as Liberty made a trip up the east coast to take on Rhode Island and Umass. Liberty was able to come away with a very impressive 4-0 win on the road at Rhode Island, then follow it up with a 2-2 tie the next night. After an off day Liberty took the short trek over the Amherst to take on the University of Massachussetts. Umass took both games by 4-1 and 3-1 margins respectively.  Liberty went 1-2-1 on the trip.

The other big series of the weekend was the in-state showdown and big CCWHA battle between Michigan and Michigan St.. The Spartans came into the contest 6-0 in conference and a perfect 8-0-1 on the year. That didn't phase the Wolverines as they came away with the impressive sweep over the spartans by 4-3 and 4-1 margins. The other big CCWHA matchup was between cross town rivals Davenport and Grand Valley St. . The Lakers would continue to ride high off their impressive showing at the showcase tournament and would roll past the Panthers with 8-0 and 6-0 scores.

Elsewhere the #1 team in the country upped their unbeaten streak to 10 with 11-0 and 9-0 wins over Northern Michigan. D II powerhouse Deleware University went into Columbus and knocked off Ohio St. 2-0.

Some big games on the docket this weekend as Adrian faces off against Michigan St. and Robert Morris heads up to Minneapolis to take on Minnesota.
