ACHA and Motel 6 partner for special travel options in 2012-13

A new agreement will give ACHA member schools access to special pricing at Motel 6's 1,100 locations nationwide.

American Collegiate Hockey Association teams will have access to special pricing thanks to a new agreement with Motel 6.

The travel agreement provides special pricing for all ACHA members, specifically covering group rates. This deal covers all 1,100 Motel 6 locations across the United States and Canada. Motel 6 is a national chain known for their low prices and clean, comfortable rooms and is ideal for the budget-minded traveler.

“As a nationwide organization, the ACHA has a number of teams with unique travel needs,” ACHA Executive Director Chris Wilk said. “It is a major step forward to have to opportunity to provide our members with unique travel savings.”

Teams are instructed to contact Motel 6 in order to obtain the ACHA account number for the travel discount. By using the main Motel 6number, 1-800-4-MOTEL6, teams can obtain the discount for the year. The Motel 6website (www.motel6.com) will be used for all direct booking.

The ACHA will provide additional information on the new agreement with Motel 6 via the new Travel Center page which is  a new feature to the Member Services section of the ACHA website (www.achahockey.org). This is a page that will consolidate all travel information and packages available to ACHA member teams.

This new pricing is now available for the 2012-13 season.
