Kim Becker Named Women's Commissioner

Kim Becker assumes the Women's Commissioner duties.

The ACHA Womens Division is pleased to welcome Kim Becker as the Women's Commissioner. Kim brings great experience to the position having been involved in ACHA activities on the team, league and association levels. Kim served in the ACHA during the 2011-2012 season as the Asstant to the Women's Commissioner, as well as the lead member of the ACHA Mentor program. Kim comes highly recommended by his ACHA colleagues.

2010-11 season was Kim's the first hands on experience working within the ACHA as South East Regional Coordinator for the Mens D II. In addition, Kim served as the President of Mid-Atlantic(formally Mid Atlantic Collegiate Hockey Association-MACHA) where the league saw tremendous growth. The Mid Atlantic grew from 8 teams to 15 as well as saw over half of the members being ranked nationally throughout the year culminating with two league members making the National Tournament.  UMBC (M2) is the root of Kim's current involvement, where for the past 4 seasons he served as GM for the DAWGS. During his tenure the organization qualified for Regionals 4 straight seasons as well as back-to-back National trips.


Kim has also served with n
umerous youth hockey associations, including NJ High School (Randolph :3 times Public Finals) as well as USA Junior Hockey(two times Nationals) duties round out the Hockey background.

When not spending time in hockey Kim,
is a principal for CIConsulting, a real estate development and construction service. As a player, Kim received an athletic scholarship for both Football and Basketball to the University of Minnesota Golden Gophers. His HS Basketball coach was Dick Vitale(ESPN). Kim's family is also very involved in athletics. His daughter played NCAA lacrosse(captain 2 years), and his son played hockey at UMBC (captain 2 years).
