UNION LAKE, MI - Penn State University is the #1 team in the country for the 8th consecutive ranking, receiving 26 of a possible 37 first-place votes in the 2011-2012 ACHA Men's Division 1 Ranking #9. #2 Delaware received 6 first-place votes this time while #3 Lindenwood picked up the other 5 first-place votes. Arizona State and Liberty rounded out the top five.

#13 Adrian was the weeks big mover-and-shaker as they both moved up three spots in the polls and nabbed a spot in the National Tournament. #11 Oakland and Drexel each moved up two spots in the ranking, with the #24 Dragons making their debut in the polls this season.

The 2012 ACHA Men's Division 1 National Championships will be hosted March 2-7 by Kent State University and the Greater Cleveland Sports Commission at Hoover Arena in Strongsville, OH. The field has expanded from 16 to 20 teams beginning with this tournament. Host Kent State along with the Regular Season Champions of the following leagues will qualify automatically for the tournament: CSCHL - Lindenwood; NECHL - Rutgers; CHMA - West Virginia; ECHL - Mercyhurst; ECHA - Drexel; GLCHL - Oakland.
