The 2012 ACHA Men's Division 1 National Championships will be hosted March 2-7 by Kent State University and the Greater Cleveland Sports Commission at Hoover Arena in Strongsville, OH. The field has expanded from 16 to 20 teams beginning with this tournament.

Host Kent State along with the Regular Season Champions of the following leagues automatically qualifty for the tournament:
CSCHL - Lindenwood
ECHL - Mercyhurst
ECHA - Drexel
NECHL - Rutgers
CHMA - West Virginia
GLCHL - Oakland

Here are the National Tournament teams: Penn State, Lindenwood (Autobid), Delaware, Arizona State, Liberty, Ohio, Minot State, Iowa State, Oklahoma, Robert Morris Illinois, Illinois, Adrian, Oakland (Autobid), Davenport, Central Oklahoma, Rutgers (Autobid), Kent State (Autobid), West Virginia (Autobid), Drexel (Autobid), and Mercyhurst (Autobid).
