Penn State, Drexel and Villanova all represented the American Collegiate Hockey Association this week when they each had an opportunity to play an outdoor game at Citizen's Bank Park. The location of the 2012 Winter Classic, Citizen's Bank Park played host to Penn State on Wednesday, January 3 and Drexel and Villanova on Thursday, January 4.
Penn State fell to NCAA Division III Neumann 6-3. Neumann rode
a pair of power play goals from Jordan Zalba to the victory. Neumann led 2-0 after the first and held a 4-2 lead after the second period.

The Crosstown Classic between Drexel and Villanova was another high-scoring affair in which the Dragons prevailed 7-3. Ross Denczi's hat trick led Drexel to the victory in the second ACHA game played on the Winter Classic surface.
