2006-07 ACHA Division 1 Final Ranking

Oakland University won its 1st Men's ACHA Division 1 National Championship, defeating Penn State 5-1 at The Ice Zone in Boardman, OH.
 
Matt Schwartz scored five-hole for Penn State to put them up 1-0 during 4-on-4 action in the 1st period.  In the 2nd period, Will McMahon tied it up on the power play for Oakland, redirecting a slapshot from Tim Michaels at the point.  McMahon took over in the 3rd period, scoring 2 short-handed goals, and another even-strength goal en route to being named the 'Joe Battista' Tournament Most Valuable Player.  Brent Cooper scored the final goal into an empty net.  Collin Chase had 46 saves for the Grizzlies.
 
Chase, Cooper, and Adam Chornoby were all named First-Team All-Tournament for Oakland.

Oakland University has won back-to-back Championships, last year in Men's Division 2 and this year in Men's Division 1.
 
Positions 1-16 in the final ranking were based on the national tournament.  Postions 17-20 were voted on by the coaches as during the regular season.

The 2008 Men's ACHA Division 1 National Championships will be hosted by the ESL Sporsts Centre in Rochester, NY.
