Jarret Whidden Named Head Coach at Kent State

KENT (OH) - Kent State Ice Hockey is pleased to announce Jarret Whidden as the new Head Coach for the 2006-2007 season. Jarret brings great experience and an understanding of what it takes to win at the ACHA Div 1 level.  Jarret was a standout player in his only season at Ohio University (ACHA Div 1) earning the ACHA Player of the Year and ACHA Div 1 All-Tournament honors for the 93-94 season while leading the country in scoring. Jarret then completed three successful years playing at Ohio State University (NCAA Div I) while earning his Bachelor's Degree in Economics. Following graduation at Ohio State, Jarret spent the next six years notching 327 points, playing at the Professional Level with stops in the IHL, ECHL, UHL, WPHL and the WCHL.
