Effective Thursday, January 8, 2009, John Burke, the American Collegiate Hockey Association [ACHA] Women's Division Vice-President, has resigned his office. John was nearing the end of his first term in office, having been elected in April 2007.
John came to the ACHA as the Head Coach for the Robert Morris College Women's Team. He won two ACHA Women's Division National Championships (2005 and 2007) and guided the Eagles to 4 consecutive ACHA Women's Division National Championship Games (2005, 2006, 2007, and 2008).
The ACHA Executive Board would like to thank John for his years of dedicated service to the organization.
The ACHA will begin a search for a replacement immediately.
